Govt Degree College is the only academic institution offering graduate certifications in the area. It has served a large population for many decades. In early nineties, college remained a place for administrative misunderstandings and malfunctioning. Finally college had real productivity after 1997 when it had a new administration. Prof Muhammad Akram Butt was the new principal. Next 7 years of college were extremely prosperous and constructive. For the first time, college was developed into an actual walled campus. Political student bodies were eliminated. A small forest corner was developed with 10000 plants in it. Previous financial errors were corrected. College uniform clothing for all student was a must. Scholarships for excelling students were issued. Mr Butt was blessed with team of hard working teachers including Mr Shakir, Mr Dilawar Hussein and Mr Arif and various others. currently college is a place of mis-management under recent Prinicipal Mr Shafqat Shah.
